Founded and directed by the Bowerbird Collective, this event brings together some of Australia's finest musicians for a series of spellbinding concerts.

The 2025 festival features outstanding artists including world renowned classical accordion player James Crabb, virtuoso guitarist Andrew Blanch, star saxophonist Alice Morgan and the stellar strings of the Bowerbird Collective - Simone Slattery and Emily Sheppard (violins), Neil Thompson (viola) and Anthony Albrecht (cello).

We are again fundraising for King Island Landcare this year, having successfully raised $25,000 in 2023/2024. Visit our Fundraising page for more information.

The moonbird, or the Short-tailed Shearwater, is an iconic species of great cultural and ecological significance to the islands of the Bass Strait.

About the Bowerbird Collective:
Founded by classical musicians and producers Anthony Albrecht and Simone Slattery, the Bowerbird Collective makes art for nature, and tours extensively throughout regional Australia with award-winning, nature-themed performances. Their 2021 and 2022 albums ‘Songs of Disappearance' – Australian Bird & Frog Calls, released in partnership with BirdLife Australia and the Australian Museum, reached No.2 and No.3 on the ARIA Album Charts respectively. Their work has featured in BBC Global, NPR, the Washington Post, the New York Times, the ABC, The Guardian, 2GB Radio, the Smithsonian Magazine, Forbes and more.
